Happy Belated Chinese New Year. This year is “The Year Of The Pig”! Besides Chinese food, I think the basis of almost every Asian Cuisine is Pork. Whether Dim Sum, Pho, Thai, Japanese Ramen it all comes down to the Pig. Since there can be so many different preparations, from BBQ Pork Buns, Pork Bone Broth for Ramen, Chinese Spareribs, Shumai, I thought I would give some suggestions to pair the various preparations of using Pork in different Asian Cuisines so whether you are Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Japanese or just a gringo like me, we can all have some fun with wine and food pairings and celebrate “The Year Of The Pig”
