Dreaming Of A WHITE Wine Christmas

95% of customers I assist with recommendations whether buying for themselves or for someone else, ask for a Red Wine. I think the reason for this is that most wine consumers only think of White Wine as Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. There are thousands of other grape varietals that produce white wines and to be honest, 95% of the foods we consume during the holidays including the cheese trays at parties, pair better with a White Wine rather than a Red Wine. Don’t misunderstand me. I drink so much Red Wine and I lean towards that preference when drinking a wine by itself but when pairing foods, I usually wind up going with some interesting white as they have better acidity in most cases and are more food friendly. I will accept any Red Wine gifts cause I do love my Reds but this holiday I am Dreaming Of a White Wine Christmas!

Grap-fully yours, Larry

  1. Hey Larry! Love this piece. For Thanksgiving, I got my dad- a lifelong dedicated red wine drinker- to try Acquiesce Viognier from Lodi, CA. He LOVED it! It IS a perfect pairing with turkey, vegetables, etc. Appreciate this post, your video, and wish you a very happy holidays!
