White Burgundy = Chardonnay 100%

Red Burgundy = Pinot Noir 100%

Repeat the above words over and over everyday 20 times and you will remember if you are looking to purchase a Pinot Noir 100% Or Chardonnay 100% …Don’t Forget the BURGUNDY REGION OF FRANCE This is A Benchmark Area for these 2 types of Grapes. I promise if you can get this down, you will find a whole new expression of these two grapes and you will feel empowered with KNOWLEDGE!

    Love the blog. Had to laugh because a good friend just came back from Burgundy and gave me a similar lesson. I am almost exclusively a domestic (high end) wine consumer–WA, OR and Napa/Sonoma–and I think it is because I find the French and Italian labels intimidating. Thanks for clarifying.
