For 20 years now I keep advising Wine Consumers to forget about the Brand Name, forget about The Grape Variety as in Give me Cabernet Or Merlot Or Chardonnay, and select wines based on this criteria 1- Flavor Profile Preference (Light and Fruity, Medium and Soft, Or Big Bold and Robust) 2- Budget Range. Even when I sample guests on 5 red wines they choose their favorite as the one with 64% Malbec, 15% Cabernet, 4% Petit Verdot, 4% Syrah and 3% Merlot. How are you going to find the exact same percentages if you keep asking for another Cabernet or another Merlot or A Malbec?? Since I am a compromising guy and I am here to serve you and if my way is not your comfort zone and you still prefer to select wines by the familiar grapes you know (even though 99% of them are blended anyway) at least you should have your familiar grapes where they are 100% of those grapes so you can really taste what those grapes taste like.
