We speak about branching out and drinking wines outside of your comfort zone. Many consumers tell me “I do I do! I drink wines from all over the world” When I ask them what wines they drink from all of these different countries, they still roll off the laundry list of the same 4-5 grape varietals that they drink from America. I encourage you to honestly branch out and when drinking wines from a different region in a different country, to seek out whites, reds, roses and sparkling wines made with grapes that the particular area is known for. For example, if you are going to drink a white wine from Argentina, instead of Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc, drink a Torrontes which is famous in Argentina. The video gives more examples. Once you start straying away from your standard 4-5 grapes, you will be surprised how much more you will start to enjoy wine by adventuring away from your comfort zone.
Grape-fully yours, Larry
